– 2 tbsp. of cooking oil
– 2 cinnamon stick
– 2 cardamom pods
– 1 star anise
– 4 cloves
– 2 bay leaves
– 1 finely chopped onion
– 2 bay leaves
– 2 tsp. of cumin seeds
– 1 tbsp. of garlic paste
– 1 tbsp. of ginger paste
– ½ tbsp. of coriander powder
– 1 tsp. of cumin powder
– 1 tsp. of masala salt
– 1 tsp. of red chili powder
– 1 tsp. of turmeric powder
– 1 tsp. of cumin powder
– 2 tbsp. of tomato paste
– 2 finely chopped tomatoes
– 10 chicken drumsticks
– ½ cup of plain yoghurt for garnishing
– salt
– water

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Heat the cooking oil on the pan at low heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds along with whole spices and chopped onions. Add garlic and ginger pastes and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the tomato paste for 2 minutes until well-blend.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and a bit of salt for some minutes until the tomatoes begin to pulp and create oil.
  5. Add the chicken drumsticks and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the yoghurt and some water. Cook for 10 minutes at low heat.
  7. Add garnish.
  8. Serve with rice, breads or a salad.
